Child Care Provider Requirements

Annual sanitation inspections are conducted to protect children in daycare settings from environmental hazards such as exposure to disease, harmful chemicals and lead hazards.

The environmental health specialist conducts these inspections and works with the provider to provide a safe and healthy environment for the children. Childcare facilities have been regulated since October of 1997.

For a complete listing of licensed providers in the county contact us at the health department.
